In a shocking move it’s been confirmed that Adele never performed her hit “Hello” live on the X-Factor. Instead Adele decided to come out 2 hours before the X-Factor went live and pre-recorded the performance in-front of everyone in the sold-out arena.
This has sparked outrage as the TV network X-Factor is broadcast on ITV even tweeted out that the performance was “Live”. There is a huge difference between live and pre-recorded. So this pre-recorded move will end up frustrating more fans that already have enough reasons to loathe X-Factor.
Still X-Factor is one of the biggest shows in the UK in terms of generating lots of buzz every year. Adele wouldn’t perform “Hello” on X-Factor if the show was in the gutter…but ITV don’t wanna fork out the millions that it costs to produce the show anymore.
So many wild rumours are still circulating that the talent show is being cancelled once the current X-Factor ITV contract has expired.
When Celine Dion sang “Loved Me Back To Life” on X-Factor a few years ago. The performance was pre-recorded the night before. This happened as Celine Dion had to fly out of the country the next day to further promote her single. So it was agreed she could pre-record the song the night before.
Adele still delivered an amazing pitch perfect performance of “Hello” on X-Factor and Adele did sing live (in person) but the actual performance was later edited into the actual LIVE broadcast that aired 2 hours later on ITV.
