Costa Coffee have hiked coffee prices – yet again!
Costa Coffee have surprisingly decided to increase the price of almost everything by 10p in all of the chains. This pushes a medium flavoured Latte at £2.95 to over £3.05 and almost all of the customers have been venting on the stores official Facebook page.
When people went into Costa Coffee to order their regular coffee, they got treated to the shock of a price hike without previous warning on the companies social media accounts.
The company can advertise cake and breakfast meals every 5 minutes but can’t have the respect to post an update announcing a price increase.
On the Costa coffee Facebook page, they responded to a fuming customer relating to why they hiked the prices by 10p.
“This is actually the first time we have increased our prices in nearly 5 years. The supplement for OPS is stated on the menu boards but the team member should make you aware of the extra cost if they are offering it to you.”
The entire post was a lie as Costa Coffee have increased the price of syrup from the previous price of 35p to 40p just over a year ago.
This pushed all the flavoured drinks up by 5p + 10p. This makes a 15p increase in just over a one – two year period.
Apparently it is to help train more staff and provide a better service. This really takes the cake.
The price hike at Costa Coffee is to increase revenue at all of the stores at the expense of the loyal paying customer!
