Madonna appeared on Jimmy Fallon last night to promote ‘Rebel Heart’ and performed new song ‘B*tch, I’m Madonna’ (BIM) live and an old classic ‘Holiday’ for the younger and older audiences being catered to.
The energy was intense throughout the night on Jimmy Fallon when Madonna got up and sang ‘B*tch, I’m Madonna’ . It all started in her dressing room, applying makeup…then making her way through the back entrance onto the stage…while many backup dancers dressed like hip-hop gangsters. Especially Madonna dressed from head to toe in Moschino with a cameo by her oldest son Rocco Ritchie coming in off a skateboard.
The only issue was the vocals and non-appearance by rapper Nicki Minaj to rap her amazing verse on ‘B*tch, I’m Madonna’. This couldn’t happen as Nicki Minaj is on tour around England at the moment. Instead the rap verse was provided via playback as Madonna grinded up against a wall.
Simply an out of her element performance that turned into something magical that will expose the younger generation to Madonna. ‘Blurred Lines’ has a similar vibe to B*tch, I’m Madonna’, therefore it’ll be interesting to see if the song becomes the official 3rd summer single after ‘GhostTown’.
