The mobile game you probably despise that will pop-up over every app you use isn’t stopping from getting into your face anytime soon. Mobile Strike starring Arnold Schwarzenegger is set for an intense marketing push by producers Epic War in the coming weeks. More intense than you’ve ever seen.
Mobile Strike is essentially billed quite heavily by the producers as:
“The world’s largest MMO with the biggest action hero, Arnold Schwarzenegger!”
The game is available on almost every device imaginable from iPhones to the Samsung Galaxy. Mobile Strike is fundamentally a real time strategy game with online play against other players. If you’ve played Command & Conquer, then you know how Mobile Strike plays out.
Arnold Schwarzenegger has been featured in the recent WWE 2K16 game and now has signed his likeness over to Epic War to be marketed in Mobile Strike.
Every app I’ve personally used that features advertisements has shown Mobile Strike and this means I had an obligation to check it out. The game is fun but the graphics are a let-down compared to the trailer. Yes – it’s cheaper to release the game on mobile platforms.
You can scale back the graphics and focus on the core game mechanics. Then for revenue you can incorporate a pay to use system for unlockables such as new skins, maps and extra in game currency to buy buildings and other fun items.
The Mobile Strike game is trending worldwide on Twitter so even if I’m not using a smartphone, I cannot seem to avoid the game. The marketing is in your face and that is unusual for a mobile game but Epic War spent a lot to buy the likeness and rights to feature Arnold Schwarzenegger.
So it’s understandable they’d go to any length to make back what they’ve spent.
