John – I’m Late for Work. Grab My Latte!
Have you ever ordered a latte and discovered that it is filled with foam and then 3/4th of the actual drink is filled inside the cup? You’re not the only one who has had to face the trauma endured by coffee chains, especially Starbucks.
Two customers have had enough of having underfilled coffees in Starbucks and have decided to lay down the law, by taking the mega chain to court to be sued for millions. If there is a way to prove that Starbucks is maliciously underfilling coffee cups with milk to save money, then the court case will have merit in a court of law.
Judge Judy would love to give the verdict in this intriguing case.
Siera Strumlauf and Benjamin Robles stated:
“By underfilling its lattes, thereby shortchanging its customers, Starbucks has saved countless millions of dollars in the cost of goods sold and was unjustly enriched by taking payment for more product than it delivers.”
Either way they’ve pointed out that the fluid in each latte advertised isn’t always the same. So there is the basic point of misleading the customer in the process.
